Bud Gardner (Director of Photography)
New York City-based cinematographer Bud Gardner specializes in low-budget independent films. As a member of the NABET and IATSE Local 52 trade unions for 19 years, Bud has worked on over 1000 commercial and industrial films as gaffer, assistant cameraman, and director of photography. His extensive resume includes The Curse, No Time for Cold Feet, Man Men, Biohazardous, and Dead Serious. He has shot title sequences for Spike Lee’s Mo’ Better Blues, the Coen Brothers’ Hudsucker Proxy, Barry Sonnenfeld’s For Love or Money, and Bernardo Bertolucci’s Little Buddah. His advertising clients include: Lintas, Young and Rubicam, Grey Advertising, Ogilvy and Mather, Grandview, PT Karina, and Rama Advertising. He’s shot rock videos for underground artists such as Big Cat. He has owned Northern Lights, Inc., a lighting and grip rental company, since 1982.
